Under Siege

So this is my third successful game, and it's my favorite! It's a RPG (Role Playing Game) that takes place in the medieval time period (as most RPGs do). Our assignment was to create a game that was very story intensive so naturally we chose to design a RPG. We used a game engine to create this game, but it was still very difficult because we had to learn how to use the engine before we could even start programming anything.

Some features of the game are interactive menus, loading screens, quests, a battle system, leveling up, merchants, boss fights, inventory system, and many more. The game is not very long but it is very difficult to complete. There will be many hours trying to level up to defeat a powerful boss.

The game was programmed in C++ with the use of the Irrlicht Engine which was the first time we have used any sort of engine to create a game. By using the engine we had more time to focus on the story and how it will progress through the game. This was a very good thing as we didnt have much time to complete it. In the end it was a very successful game and we acheived very good marks for it.
